FT: Dortmund 1-3 Bayern Munich, Lewandowski Bags BRACE! (HIGHLIGHTS)

Robert Lewandowski scored a brace as Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 1-3 to lift the German Super Cup tophy, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

A solid first-half display saw the Bavarians getting the better of their opponent who couldn’t deal with the pressure being through at them.

Borussia Dortmund had things going smoothly as they were the side who made most of the close-to-goal opportunities which they managed not t score from it in the early minutes.

It wasn’t that easy for the Bayern Munich side that had to take things easy going forward despite them controlling ball possession which also saw them creating few chances.

The goal finally came in the 41st minutes through Robert Lewandowski who was assisted by Serge Gnabry as the Bavarians took the much-needed 0-1 lead after all their dominance in the half.

BVB couldn’t come through with anything of their own as the first half ended with Borussia Dortmund 0-1 Bayern Munich, which saw them heading for the break.

Second Half Report

It was a good second-half encounter in which both of the teams had so much to do going forward as the goals came in surplus.

Thomas Muller immediately increased Bayern Munich lead in the 49th minute after an amazing display saw the German scored into an open net to make it 0-2 as it progressed.

Borussia Dortmund carried on with the game as second best until Marco Reus 64th minutes goal gave them something to celebrate as the scoreline turned 1-2 with more to play for.

The encounter was much more one sided as the Bavarians were too good for the Black and Yellow to contain as Robert Lewandowski scored his brace in the 74th minute to make it 1-3.

It was a boring few minutes left which saw both teams unable to make anything happen as the match finished with Borussia Dortmund 1-3 Bayern Munich as the Bavarians claimed the German Super Cup.
