Cristiano Ronaldo Arrives In Lisbon, Set For Man United Medical (VIDEO)

Cristiano Ronaldo has now arrived back in his home country in Lisbon, Portugal ahead of a Manchester United medical, MySportDab reports.

Ronaldo arrived in Portugal before his Manchester United transfer was officially confirmed.

The 36-year-old decided to leave Juventus a few days ago and has been linked with Manchester City for some time.

However, City pulled out of the deal and Manchester United did everything possible to sign a club legend again.

Ronaldo was greeted by thousands of fans at the Lisbon Airport in Portugal before he was taken away in a car.

He is expected to have his Manchester United medical in Lisbon before travelling to England in a few days time.

In more food news, Manchester United Shares rose by 8 per cent after Cristiano Ronaldo’s return was confirmed.

The signing gave a major boost to the shares of United, now publicly traded in the United States.

Ronaldo is no doubt one of the greatest players of all time, and is popular on social media, with 334 million Instagram followers and 93.7 million Twitter followers.

In the two hours after Ronaldo was confirmed, Manchester United’s Instagram account followers rose from 43.1 million to 44.3 million.

Ronaldo enjoyed plenty of success during his time at Manchester United from 2003 to 2009.

He won the Champions League, three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the League Cup during that time at United.

The Portuguese also scored 118 goals in 292 matches for the Premier League club.
