FT: USA 3-2 Mexico, Christian Pulisic STRIKES! (Match Report And Highlight)

Christian Pulisic scored the winner as USA beat Mexico in the final of the American Nations League 3-2 to win the trophy, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both teams scored one goal each as the first half of the encounter was evenly balance which some great opportunities coming both ways.

Jesus Corona gave Mexico the lead in the 2nd minutes as he scored an amazing goal which saw the scoreline turned 0-1 as it progressed.

USA pulled back level 1-1 in the 27th minute after an outstanding buildup play which saw Giovanni Reyna scoring to make thing back on level terms.

The first half ended with USA 1-1 Mexico as they both headed for the break with a draw scoreline after a good 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half saw more goals being scored by both teams once again as they showed so much quality going forward in the game.

USA conceded another goal which saw them going behind 1-2 in the 79th minute of the game which came through Diego Lainez.

Mexico were good knocking the ball around until their opponent hit them back with the equalizer once again to make it 2-2 through Weston McKennie.

The match ended with USA 2-2 Mexico as they both settled for a draw which means they have to play extra time to find a winner.

Extra Time Report

The game carried on with more coming from both sides which saw good display from the defenders, ensuring nothing went past them in the early minutes of extra time.

Christian Pulisic finally scored for USA to give them the lead in the 114th minutes which saw him converting from the penalty spot to make it 3-2.

Mexico couldn’t make a comeback as the match ended with them losing the final to their opponent who won the trophy after a good game.
