FT: Portugal 2-2 France, Ronaldo And Benzema Bags BRACE! (Match Report And Highlight)

A brace each for Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema as Portugal played out a 2-2 draw against France in their final group game, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

Both teams found the back of the net in the first half of the encounter which was evenly balanced and both sides gave a good account of themselves.

France had the steering in the early minutes which saw them dominating the affair going forward with opportunities created but couldn’t make it count.

The game carried on with the French getting their penalty which was converted by Karim Benzema to make the scoreline 1-1 after a foul was committed by the Portuguese.

Second Half Report

The same outcome in the second half of the encounter as both teams still had so much to do going forward and also getting the job done.

France took the lead in the 47th minute of the game thanks to Karim Benzema who linked up with Manchester United Paul Pogba to give his side a 1-2 lead.

Portugal continued applying pressure and hoping for a comeback as they push forward with their chances of progressing a big doubt with the way the scoreline was.

Cristiano Ronaldo soon leveled things 2-2 in the 60th minute, and once again it was from the penalty spot which saw him breaking another record on an international level.

The match carried on without anything else as it finished with Portugal 2-2 France which sees both teams making it through into the round of 16 of the European Championship.
