Chelsea 2-5 West Brom: Coach Thomas Tuchel REACTS, Blasts Players (VIDEO)

Thomas Tuchel has now spoken for the first time after Chelsea’s shocking 5-2 defeat against West Brom earlier today, MySportDab reports.

Tuchel has now revealed that the loss is a ‘big wake-up call’ for his players ahead of their next match in the Champions League against Porto.

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva was sent off before half-time and the Baggies made sure to punish the 10 men.

Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson both scored twice and Mbaye Diagne scored once.

Speaking after the match, Tuchel has admitted that his players failed to adapt against Sam Allardyce’s men.

Tuchel said: ‘We failed to cope with the situation after the red card. I don’t know why, but after the red card we failed to adapt.

‘We gave away easy goals just before half time and in the second half, everything went wrong and we have to accept the loss today.

‘It was clearly our fault, we made too many mistakes and lose the ball too many times which mostly caused the goals.

‘Today, we failed to adapt to the match situation and must now accept the result.

‘There is nothing worse than reaching 45 mins and extra time, then you concede goals like this, it’s not like us at all.

‘We must give the right response, because it is absolutely necessary. I did not expect this at all, now we must be responsible and shake it off.’

Chelsea play next on Wednesday they face Porto in their Champions League first-leg quarterfinal.
