Manchester City Vs Borussia Dortmund: Pep Guardiola Speaks On Jadon Sancho Return!

Manchester City Coach Pep Guardiola has revealed that he does not regret selling Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund in 2017, MySportDab reports.

Jadon Sancho will return to Manchester City next month as a Borussia Dortmund player as they face off in the Champions League.

Dortmund face a difficult task against Guardiola’s title chasing City this season.

Four years ago Sancho left the Etihad Stadium to play for the Borussia Dortmund first team in Germany.

But, Pep Guardiola has told fans that he wanted Sancho to remain at the club and could not stop him for leaving.

Asked about Sancho before Manchester City’s quarter-final match against Everton, Guardiola said:

‘I do not a regret, he made the decision.

‘He’s doing now a fantastic player. A national team player with massive potential, and performing well in Dortmund.

‘We hoped he would stay but he chose to leave, when they want to leave all there is nothing we can do. I wish him all the best but not when he plays against us.’

Sancho has developed very well at Borussia Dortmund, scoring 46 goals and providing 60 assists in almost four seasons.

He is now one of Europe’s hottest young players with a value of £100million.

Sancho is also a key part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad and has played 18 times for the national team.

Sancho had a slow start this season and failed to score in the first 11 Bundesliga matches but has found his form again in 2021.

He’s score three goals and two assists in his last three Bundesliga matches but is currently unavailable due to injury.

The 20-year-old is expected to return in time for his Manchester City reunion at the Ethiad Stadium.
