Manchester United, City, Chelsea, Real Madrid In Chase For Erling Haaland (Details)

Manchester United are still in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer but are unwilling to enter a bidding war, MySportDab reports.

Manchester City have now emerged as favourites to sign the Borussia Dortmund Star due to their financial power.

United tried to sign Haaland in January 2020, after Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer traveled to Austria for talks with him.

However, Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund in a £19.5million transfer.

City, Real Madrid, and Chelsea are still in the chase for Haaland if the 20-year-old decides to leave Germany this summer.

He has scored 37 goals in 34 matches for Dortmund and Norway so far this season.

United remain interested in Haaland but will struggle to compete with their Premier League rivals financially this summer.

United are also worried about negotiating with his agent, Mino Raiola, and his father, Alfie Haaland, after the transfer breakdown 14 months ago.

Raiola could end his long time fued with Pep Guardiola after their issue at Barcelona including the fall-out with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He could now discuss a move to City for his client, where Haaland’s father player for three years.

MySportDab understands that there has already been contact between Manchester City and Haaland’s representatives.

But, Chelsea remain a major threat with the power to secure one of the best transfers in the club’s history by signing Haaland this summer.

Solskjaer previously worked with Haaland during his time as Molde manager and recently said he still talks to the player.

Meanwhile, City are determined to sign a replacement for Sergio Aguero this summer as Gabriel Jesus has failed to impress.
