Arabia scored as Olympiacos beat Arsenal 1-0 in the 2nd leg of the Europa League which the Gunners managed to qualify for the next round with a 3-2 aggregate, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It was a poor first half encounter from the two sides who failed to make anything happen in front of goal despite multiple opportunities.
Olympiacos were reluctant enough to make sure the Gunners couldn’t penetrate them easily and score a goal which they did well all through the 45 minutes.
Arsenal was frustrated as all their attempts on goal were easily dealt with as the game progressed with them dominating and seeing more of the ball.
The game progressed without anything coming out of it as the first half of the encounter ended with Arsenal 0-0 Olympiacos as they both headed for the break with a goalless scoreline.
Second Half Report
The second half of the game kicked off brightly as we saw some promising chances which came from both sides in the early stages of the 45 minutes.
Arabi broke the deadlock in the 51st minute to put his side Olympiacos on the lead after a fine breakthrough in play saw the away side scoring the first goal of the game to make it 1-0.
Arsenal continued to press for the equalizer which didn’t come and Mikel Arteta had to make some changes which Oedegaard and Thomas Partey came in to replace Ceballos and Elneny.
Ousseynou Ba was sent off late in the game after a foul on Martinelli but Gunners failed to capitalize as the match ended with Olympiacos 1-0 Arsenal as the London side advance with a 3-2 aggregate.
