Memphis Depay hit brace alongside one each from Wijnaldum and Donny van de Beek as the Netherlands thrashed Gibraltar 7-0, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter wasn’t that bad with just one goal coming out of it despite all the opportunities created.

Gibraltar had things under control in the early stages as they were able to keep out their opponent from scoring goals as the game progressed.

Steven Berghuis managed to break the deadlock in the 42nd minute of the game after a nice buildup play which made it 1-0 for Netherlands.

The first half of the encounter progressed without any goal as it ended with Gibraltar 0-1 Netherlands, which both sides headed for the break with an advantage to Holland.

Second Half Report

It was a festivity of goals in the second half of the encounter from the away side who scored six goals within the space of 45 minutes.

Luuk de Jong scored in the 55th minute of the match to make it 2-0 for Netherlands before Memphis Depay 61st minutes goal made it 3-0.

Gibraltar were lost in the game as the goal kept coming, and this time it was Wijnaldum who made it 4-0 in the 62nd minute.

Donyell Malen made it 5-0 in the 64th minute likewise Donny Van de Beek’s scoring in the 85th minute which increased the lead to 6-0 as the game progressed.

Memphis Depay finished off with a late stunner which wrapped off the game to 7-0 in the 88th minute from the Lyon man.

The match came to an end with Gibraltar 0-7 Netherlands which sees the away side humiliating the home team who were very poor.
