‘Sensational’ – Manchester United Legend Paul Scholes Hails Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United Legend Paul Scholes has now praised Bruno Fernandes for his double figures at the Premier League club, MySportDab reports. 

Fernandes reached equal goals and assists after Manchester United’s victory against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Despite being quiet for some part of the match, Fernandes scored a goal and provided an assist to help his team win against Steve Bruce’s side.

The 26-year-old has emerged as United’s main player and has imporved the club’s performance since his £68m transfer from Sporting Lisbon.

Fernandes has regularly provided slme standout performances to keep Solskjaer’s team in the Premier League title race.

Fernandes’ goal and assist against Newcastle put him alongside Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Bayern Munich Playmaker Thomas Muller for a new record.

Fernandes, Muller and Kane are the only players in Europe’s top five football leagues to record double digits in goals and assists so far this season.

However, Paul Scholes has now praised the Portuguese midfielder after the win at Old Trafford.

‘There’s clearly progress, Ole signed a world class real attacking threat to this team and Bruno Fernandes is that player,’ Scholes said on BT Sport.

‘Only Salah has got more goals than him so far this season. He’s influence on this team has been remarkable. United could not create many chances or score many goals before he arrived.

‘He was not perfect against Newcastle but those are the high standards we expect from him now. An Assist and another goal is a good one.’

The Newcastle win was the seventh league match that Fernandes has provided a goal and assist this Premier League season.
