FT: Liverpool 1-4 Man City, Gundogan Bags BRACE! (Match Report And Highlight)

Gundogan scored twice alongside goals from Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden ensured Man City beat Liverpool 4-1 to increase their lead on the league table, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter was tight from both ends as they provide some good attacking display of football going forward.

Man City was presented with the opportunity of taking the lead in the 37th minute but Gundogan threw away a penalty which should have given them a 1-0 lead.

Liverpool couldn’t make anything happen despite all their efforts attacking and chances created as the game progressed.

The first half ended with Liverpool 0-0 Man City as they both headed for the break with a goalless draw.

Second Half Report

The second half was a bit different with the pace and tenacity taking another turn in the early stages of the 45 minutes.

Gundogan soon found the back of the net for Man City in the 50th minute of the game after scoring an amazing goal from a lost ball to make it 1-0 as the match went on.

Mohamad Salah leveled things for Liverpool 1-1 in the 63rd minutes from the penalty spot but Gundogan put his side on the lead again 2-1 with a goal in the 73rd minute.

Raheem Sterling added another goal in the 76th minute as Phil Foden made it 4-1 in the 83rd minute after teaming up with Gabriel Jesus.

The match ended with Liverpool 1-4 Man City as Pep Guardiola’s side once again showed class with the big win.
