Chelsea Coach Frank Lampard Blasts Players After Wolves 2-1 Loss

Chelsea Manager Frank Lampard has now spoken about his team’s lack of consistency after a surprise 2-1 defeat against Wolves on Tuesday, MySportDab reports.

The Blues scored first but conceded two goals to ensure they left the Molineux stadium with no points.

Now, the Chelsea boss was not happy at all after the game.

Chelsea went looking to bounce back against Wolves after a 1-0 loss against Everton last weekend.

However, the Blues suffered yet another loss thanks to goals from Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto to secure all three points.

Chelsea first scored through their main man Olivier Giroud before Podence levelled for Wolves.

Wolves stole all the points at the end, with Neto scoring in the 95th minute.

For Chelsea, it was another difficult night.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Frank Lampard reflected on the defeat.

He said: “Our Performance.

“Performance is only thing that produces good results, and we had some fantastic performances for weeks but maybe the players think we’re playing well.”

He added: “Maybe the players should think about the game when they’re resting.

“Think about the loss tonight, the Everton loss. This is the English Premier League and when you fail to perform, you lose points.”

Frank Lampard believes Chelsea were too eager in trying to win the game and it came back to haunt them.

“We the game was 1-0, we should have just closed the game out,” he said.

“If you fail to play well, which we failed to do tonight, keep a strong hold to the 1-0. Control the match. Don’t allow them any counter-attacks.”
