Juventus Ready To Sell Cristiano Ronaldo, End £28m-a-year Wages Cost (Details)

Juventus are working on the possibility of selling Cristiano Ronaldo due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, MySportDab reports.

The 35-year-old joined the Serie A champions from Real Madrid back in 2018.

Ronaldo earns £28m per year in at Juventus, five times higher than the wages of the second highest-paid player Paulo Dybala.

Now, According to Spanish Newspaper Sport, Juventus want to get his salary off their books, and are now ready to sell the Portuguese star.

The Old Lady might not offer him a new extension on his contract that expires in June 2022.

It might be very difficult for Juventus to sell one of football’s biggest names next summer.

Over the weekend, Ronaldo scored again in Juventus’ 1-1 draw against Lazio.

That was Ronaldo’s sixth goal of the season but he has been criticised by Coach Andrea Pirlo.

After their Champions League win against Ferencvaros, the former Italy midfielder slammed his attacking players for being selfish.

‘I speak to my players a lot, but they ended up making the choices on the pitch. They could be less egotistical and killed the game earlier,’ he told Sky Sports Italia.

‘We are playing with two strikers and two wide players. Once everyone is in shape, we can work out who to play together. So far, not everyone is at 100 per cent, so it’s normal to rotate them and leave one or two people out.’

However, Pirlo also confirmed that Ronaldo picked up an injury during the Lazio draw in Rome.

The Portuguese star went off after a knock on his ankle and his foot was strapped with an ice pack close to the match end.

It remains unknown whether Ronaldo will link up with the Portugal squad for the international games.

But, MySportDab can confirm that team-mate Paulo Dybala will not join the Argentina squad due to a genital problem.

Juventus are fifth in Serie A, four points behind league leaders AC Milan.
