Man Utd Star Paul Pogba SPEAKS On Being Benched For PSG Champions League Match

Manchester United Star Paul Pogba has revealed that him being benched by Solskjaer was all part of the plan, MySportDab reports.

The French midfielder was absent from Manchester United Starting XI for Tuesday’s Champions League game.

But, the 27-year-old has now revealed that it played a vital role as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team secured all three points.

Manchester United stunned PSG yet again in Paris on an incredible night.

Bruno Fernandes gave the Red Devils a 1-0 lead in the first half, and the Portugal international scored his penalty at the second attempt after missing the first.

Sadly, Anthony Martial’s own goal appeared to have earned PSG a draw, with the forward heading into his own net.

But, in the closing stage of the game, United scored again.

Pogba, who replaced Alex Telles, passed the ball to Marcus Rashford whose powerful strike went past Navas and scored.

Now, Speaking to RMC Sport, The 27-year-old has revealed that his substitution was all part of the plans to give Manchester United all three points.

“We knew what to expect in Paris,” Pogba said.

“We were all ready for this match, the result came as we expected. They had their chances, we also had chances and we took them. The result is good.

“My substitution was prepared. We had prepared it for the game.

“We know that they are strong in attack, and we had to stop that. Afterwards, we started creating chances, and we scored.”

Paul Pogba could start this weekend when Manchester United face Chelsea in the Premier League.
