Manchester United Coach Solskjaer has confirmed his 25-man squad for the Champions League group stage matches, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils completed most of their business on the transfer deadline day.

Jadon Sancho was United’s top summer target but Solskjaer settled for other players on deadline day.

Donny van de Beek was United’s previous signing before Monday, but deals for Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani were later confirmed.

Three other young players were signed such as Amad Traore, Willy Kambala, and Facundo Pellistri. Amad Traore will join the club in January.

The only major exit from the squad was defender Chris Smalling completing his permanent transfer back to Roma.

But others like Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, and Sergio Romero were unable to leave United before the window shut.

Now, the trio are not included in United’s 25-man squad for the Champions League group stages announced today.

Sergio Romero has been United’s first choice Goalkeeper for Europa matches over the past few seasons.

However, Dean Henderson’s arrival from loan has dropped him more behind the pecking order.

Another shocker was that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided to pick Lee Grant in his Champions League Squad ahead of Romero.

New signings Van De Beek, Cavani, Telles, and Pellistri are all included in the squad.

Edinson Cavani could make his debut against former Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain on October 20.
