“Semi-finals Are Not Good Enough” – Man Utd Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that a semi-final finish this season is ‘not good enough’, MySportDab reports.

Manchester United are set to face Sevilla up next in the Europa League semi-finals on Sunday.

Having crashed out of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, the Red Devils are determined to win a trophy this season.

Sevilla’s quarter-final win over Wolves was very unusual with so much pressure from the Spanish team throughout the match.

Coach Solskjaer’s first trophy as United Coach would be very key after their third-placed finish in the Premier League.

‘Let’s see how far we’ve developed across the season because we have played in two semi-finals before,’ Solksjaer said.

‘We are determined to move forward.

‘Semi-finals are still not good enough. It’s just not good enough for Manchester United.

‘The team has continued to develop, getting more hungry.

‘Let’s make sure that the pain we felt after losing the other semi-finals that we’ve improved more now, that can be the key difference. The difference that shows we want it more.’

The August heat means training sessions are completed close to the evening period rather than during the day.

A number of players in Manchester United’s current squad were part of the team that crashed  out of the Champions League March 2018 after the Sevilla last-16 match.
