Juventus Appoints Club Legend Andrea Pirlo As Their First Team Coach After Sarri Exit

Juventus has now confirmed club Legend Andrea Pirlo as their first team after appointing him their under 23 team coach few months ago, MySportDab reports.

Following the sacking of Maurizio Sarri Juve have opted for the option of promoting theirs under 23 team coach to their first team.

This comes as no shock with Andrea Pirlo tipped to someday handle the coaching job at Juventus and the time has come.

This will be the first job the former midfielder will be handling in his coaching career and it remains to be if he will perform or not.

Pirlo signed a two year deal which will see him manage the first team of the Turin outfit until June 2022.

“The decision for Pirlo was very natural, in the Juventus style, because he is someone who played for us.

He has always been in contact with everyone here and it felt natural,” said Juventus’ chief football officer Fabio Paratici.

“We also believe he is pre-destined for greatness.

He was as a player and we are confident he can do the same as a coach.”

Andrea Pirlo Statements After Getting Appointed:

He said he like to have the same “journey” as Man City’s Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane.

Guardiola and Zidane coached Barcelona and Real Madrid’s reserve teams respectively before coaching the first team’s.

“But you need to earn it, gaining experience,” said Pirlo.

“The path I’m about to embark on is the right one for me.”
