Manchester United Should Pay ‘Big Money’ For Borussia Dortmund Star Erling Haaland – Paul Scholes

Manchester United Legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to pay ‘big money’ for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, MySportDab reports.

Haaland has enjoyed a shocking rise at the start of this season, he first scored 28 goals in 22 matches earlier with Red Bull Salzburg.

Haaland then signed for Borussia Dortmund in January and he continued his fantastic form with 13 goals in 14 Bundesliga matches.

Before his Borussia Dortmund transfer, United were linked with the Norway star because of his close relationship with coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

However, United refused to pay the right money for Haaland and signed Odion Ighalo on loan instead.

The Red Devils are expected to be very busy in the summer transfer market.

However, Paul Scholes believes United should do everything possible to sign Haaland, who he believes has ‘priceless’ qualities.

Scholes told the BBC: “Yes. Before all the rumours and everything, I hadn’t seen much of him, but when German football returned and I watched him very well, I asked myself: ‘Why did Manchester United not pay any amount for him?’

“He’s very good, young, and he’s a quality goalscorer. He’s fast also, he’s got real pace.

“He’s a top player, he scores goals, and that’s very important.

“Looking ahead, he might still be available again very soon but Manchester United will to have to pay alot of money for him.”
