BREAKING! English Premier League Confirm 2020/21 Season Start And End Dates

Premier League clubs will now restart football back sooner after the 2020/21 season dates were confirmed, MySportDab reports.

The new campaign will start on the second week of September and will end in late May.

It leaves Premier League clubs with six-weeks break between the season end and restart.

There are still some clubs in the Champions League and Europa League competition which resumes in August.

So there could be less than a month to prepare for the new season for the clubs in European competitions.

A statement read: “Premier League Shareholders have agreed to start the 2020/21 Premier League campaign on 12 September 2020.

“The final matches of the season will be played on 23 May 2021.

“The English Premier League will continue to discuss with the FA and EFL regarding the dates for all domestic competitions.”

Liverpool will head into the new season looking to defend their Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp’s side won the competition title for the first time in 30 years.

Liverpool staffs and players celebrated their success at Anfield on Wednesday behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Leeds United are back in the Premier League after winning the Championship title.
