DONE: Chelsea Agree Personal Terms With Kai Havertz, £80m Transfer Closes In!

Chelsea have now agreed personal terms with Bayern Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz for a transfer this summer, MySportDab reports.

The Blues are the only club willing to pay the €90m fee Bayern Leverkusen have demanded.

Chelsea have already signed Hakim Ziyech to Stamford Bridge after his £33m January deal.

Meanwhile, Timo Werner has also signed for Chelsea in a £48m transfer from RB Leipzig.

But Chelsea still want to improve their attack with Havertz, who performed well in the Bundesliga after the restart in May.

The 21-year-old scored six goals in eight matches to end the season on 17 goals and nine assists from 43 games.

Now, According to The Athletic and Sky Sports Reporter Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are now  position to sign him.

The Blues are ready to pay the Bayern Leverkusen price-tag, which will cost Chelsea around £73m (€80m) plus add-ons.

The transfer would make him a Chelsea record signing.

Havertz decided after Leverkusen lost in the DFB Pokal final against Bayern that he wanted to leave the Bundesliga.

The Athletic claim Frank Lampard’s team are close to an agreement on Havertz’s transfer and that the player wants a deal done quickly.

Kai Havertz is said to earn around €5m per year at Bayern and will get a pay rise at Chelsea.

Chelsea continued their impressive season under Lampard by reaching the FA Cup final on Sunday after a 3-1 win against Manchester United.
