BREAKING! FIFA Cancels 2020 The Best Awards Ceremony

World football governing body FIFA have decided to cancel 2020 The Best Awards ceremony due to concerns, MySportDab reports.

The ceremony was set to happen in Milan this September, but won’t take place because of the coronavirus crisis.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino made it very clear from the start of the pandemic that decisions will be taken with maximum precaution.

FIFA have also suspended the Under-17 and Under-20 Women’s World Cups until February 2021.

MySportDab understands just like FIFA The Best Awards, The Futsal World Cup is also suspended until 2021.

The only tournament FIFA is yet to suspend is the Club World Cup scheduled for Dubai in December.

Since football seasons across the world has been suspended and some leagues cancelled, there was no reason to hold the awards ceremony this year.

About the European Golden Boot, FIFA does not make the decision on that and there are serious doubts whether it will be given to anyone this season.

French Ligue 1 players such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe won’t be able to score more goals because their seasons have already been cancelled.

However, France Football is yet to decide what will happen to the 2020 Ballon d’Or ceremony, which has taken place every year since 1956.
