Arsenal Star Dani Ceballos Confirms Premier League Restart Date

Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has revealed that the Premier League plans to resume on June 20, MySportDab reports.

Ceballos revealed the new date by mistake during an interview after the Premier League restart was prepared for June 12.

Football in England has been suspended since March 13th because of the coronavirus outbreak that has caused various leagues to be cancelled.

Arsenal are one of the clubs that have returned to training in recent weeks and still making use of social distancing measures in small groups.

However, Dani Ceballos is confident that the Premier League will restart next month and continue without problems to finish the season.

“We will resume football a week late in line with what is being discussed in Spain, which is June 12th but we are going to restart the league on the 20th,” Ceballos told Spanish radio station RTVE.

“We have all taken part in the test 48 hours ago and everyone tested negative.”

Premier League Officials are desperate for the League to get back up as soon as possible but there have been concerns about players being focused.

EPL players have now spent two months at home training  with equipments provided by their clubs and will now need some more time to be fully match fit.

When the league restarts, all remaining 92 games will be played behind closed doors as a safety measure.

MySportDab understands the Premier League plans to host one match on Friday nights, eight games across Saturday and Sunday, then one on Monday.
