Ex Man Utd Star Marouane Fellaini Discharged From Hospital In China Coronavirus Recovery (Photos)

Former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been discharged from a Chinese hospital on Tuesday after being treated for coronavirus, MySportDab reports.

The 32-year-old is the only player in the Chinese Super League (CSL) to have contracted the disease and will now spend a further 14 days in quarantine for more observation.

The Belgium midfielder revealed on March 22 that he had tested positive for the virus after he just returned to China, but assured fans that he was fine.

While in hospital in the jinan province, Fellaini shared videos online of himself exercising in his room.

‘Fellaini was checked and was confirmed to have recovered and was discharged today,’ Shandong said in a short public statement.

China where the virus first started in December, says that it has curbed the illness at home but is now more worried about the cases around the world.

Fellaini’s being positive for Coronavirus was a difficult blow to the Chinese Super League’s plans to start the season any time soon, after its February 22 date was first postponed.

MySportDab can confirm Fellaini joined Shandong from Manchester United in February of 2019 for £10.4million.

He enjoyed a good start to life in China and has scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 34 matches.
