“Title Race Is Over” – Man City Boss Pep Guardiola After Wolves 3-2 Loss

Manchester City Coach Pep Guardiola has admitted that the title race is over after yesterday’s 3-2 loss against Wolves, MySportDab reports.

City travelled to Wolves on Friday looking to get back in 2nd place ahead of Leicester and reduce the gap to 11 points from Liverpool at the top.
It all started bad after Goalkeeper Ederson was sent off to taking down Diogo Jota outside his box after 12 minutes, but Raheem Sterling did score a brace to give City a 2-0 lead after half time.
Despite having with 10 men and a 2-0 lead, City yet again failed to control the quality of Adama Traore.
Traore made the most of his chances and scored Wolves first goal before setting up a cross to Raul Jimenez to make it 2-2.
Shocking for everyone, Matt Doherty produced a stunning 89th-minute winner to send the Wolves fans into partying and also make Liverpool fans delighted.
Manchester City now trail Liverpool by 14 points, with Jurgen Klopp’s team still having a game in hand.
Asked if the title race is over, Guardiola said: “Yes, the points gap is big.”
“Thinking about catching Liverpool is unrealistic.
“The huge gap has been there for a long time. It is very unrealistic to think about the title race.
“You have asked the same question for a long time and this is the same answer.”
Liverpool play next against Wolves, who are now two points behind Chelsea on Sunday, while Manchester City will face Sheffield United later at the Etihad.
