Deontay Wilder Set To Snub Anthony Joshua Fight And $100m Offer

The highly anticipated bout between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder looks more unlikely to take place, with the American also poised to reject a lucrative $100m offer from a streaming network.

According to The Daily Mail, Wilder is edging towards turning down the $100million offer from DAZN, which was structured around a bout against his mandatory challenger Dominic Breazeale.

The situation is not yet finalised, though as it currently stands the heavyweight picture will look distinctly underwhelming.

If Wilder stays with Showtime, who have screened his career to date, it will mean the three main men in the division will allbe aligned to different broadcasters, as Tyson Fury is committed to ESPN and Joshua's next fight, against Jarrell Miller on June 1, will be shown on DAZN in the US.

Hopes of a Joshua-Wilder clash, which had subsided after a long series of failed negotiations, had grown again in the past few weeks.

But it will take a late U-turn for the suggested Autumn bout to now materialise.

Wilder will announce his next move on Tuesday.
